"Kellari" room was cool, all year round was the perfect place to keep food and wine; with a large variety of hand made "Pitharia" (amphora: in ancient Greece and Rome, jars made of clay… used for the storage of wine and olive oil).

Vavla Village, Cyprus

Vavla Village, (Greek: Βάβλα) is located in Larnaca District, at 450 metres above sea level in the lower level of the Troodos Mountain Range. Vavla village was strategically built nestled on a hill side in 1450 a.c. Most of the houses in Vavla are stoned built (local Lefkara stone). Vavla has 3 churches (St. George, Archangel Michael and Virgin of Love) and 1 monastery (St. Minas).

“OUR HOUSE”, Your Place to Stay, in Vavla Cyprus, overlooks most of the village with a lovely view of the surrounding mountain side. “OUR HOUSE” enjoys a very private central courtyard; shaded alcove areas or the roof top terrace overlooking a wonderful view of the village and mountains. You are welcome to access the backyard as well. Depending on the time of year and the Cyprus weather, pick a fresh lemon for your tea, figs before breakfast, delicious apricots and artichokes. We look forward to making your stay comfortable.

“OUR HOUSE” is a great starting point from where to explore nature and the many ancient sites and monasteries nearby. Great area to cycle. Nature trails....
